The Geoscience Institute informed that this afternoon and tomorrow, January 29, our country will be affected by moderate to locally intense rainfall in several regions.
According to IGEO, heavy rainfall will include the regions of Shkodër, Kukës, Lezhë, Tirana, Durrës, Vlorë and Gjirokastër, while average rainfall is expected in other regions.
Rainfall is expected to be accompanied by thunderstorms in all districts.
In the mountainous areas in the north and northeast at altitudes above 900m above sea level, precipitation is expected in the form of snow.
Storms and high intensity rainfall for short periods of time can create various problems and water flooding in urban areas depending on the sewage system in the regions of Shkodër, Kukës, Lezhë, Vlorë and Gjirokastër.
Minimum and maximum air temperatures are expected to reach: on the coast: 11 / 15 °C, in lowlands: 8 / 16 °C and in mountainous areas: 3 / 13 °C
This afternoon the wind is expected to blow moderately to strongly, while tomorrow it is expected to blow lightly to moderately.
