Homeopathy cures the sick, not the disease

Homeopathy is based on the principle that like cures like. Thus, if the patient has a fever, he is given the remedy which causes a fever in a healthy person, but lowers the temperature in a sick person.

Since its introduction more than two centuries ago, homeopathy has been the subject of controversy among physicians and pharmacologists. While the former exaggerate it, the latter question its healing results.

It is interesting that throughout history many doctors have taken on the task of refuting the importance of homeopathy, but in the end, being convinced of its usefulness, they began to apply it.

Homeopathy has also been recognized by the World Health Organization, according to whose report this healing method ranks second in the world right after Chinese medicine. Classical medicine barely ranks fourth on the WHO list.

However, homeopathy is not herbal, nor is it folk medicine. It is the skill of healing which differs from other branches of medicine for many things, and even more so according to subtle methods and a special approach to the patient.

There are two important laws that must be adhered to so that homeopathic medicine can be applied: the law of similarity and the law of minimum doses, Telegraph reports.

If any substance induces a certain action in a healthy person, then with that substance it will be possible to heal the sick person who presents such symptoms. For example: cleaning onions causes watery eyes and stuffy nose, symptoms similar to those of the pollen allergy type. So, onion cures pollen allergy in people with such symptoms.

The law of minimum doses is characterized by the use of the smallest doses of the drug in order to stimulate the organism's own weakened mechanism.

Homeopathy notes that all the symptoms of the disease are actually the result of a discrepancy that has involved the whole body and that the patient is the one who requires treatment and not the disease. Digestion and potentiation are very important in homeopathy.

Each homeopathic herb has a clear personal picture of what it can cure. Taken generally, this is about the emotional state of the patient and about the individual signs and symptoms of the disease.

The basic approach in medical homeopathy is the holistic approach. The very doctrine of homeopathy requires that man be treated as a whole of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual characteristics in order to heal as a complete universal unit.

Is homeopathy dangerous?

Any plaster can cause different side effects, even the natural one. Most homeopathic remedies are safe but should be used with expert advice.

However, many homeopathic medicines can cause various side effects, including stomach pain, headache, nausea, skin rash, liver and pancreas damage. They are rare but there have been cases where homeopathy has caused serious health problems such as kidney failure.

The negative consequences come when homeopathy is not used properly, when it is combined with other medicines or when homeopathic medicines are taken without prior consultation with the expert.

Due to the potentially dangerous ingredients, homeopathic medicines should not be given to children, pregnant women and those who are breastfeeding. People who take other medicines should consult their doctor or pharmacist before taking the homeopathic solution to avoid dangerous consequences.

The most common homeopathic remedies

Pretty Woman – This is the extract of the flower of the same name. It has been used since the 16th century to give the cheeks a natural red color. It was loved by the Romans because of its toxic ingredients. However, if the plant is properly processed, it becomes a poultice which can help relieve fever.

Gelsemium – This beautiful yellow flower is poisonous. If processed properly, it releases its healing properties and helps relieve flu symptoms.

Pulsatilla – This is one of our oldest homeopathic plants. If taken in excessive amounts it can cause irregular and slow heartbeats, diarrhea and vomiting. In the right amount it can help with flu, cold, cough and sinus infections.

Amica – It comes from the sunflower family and has been used for centuries for medicinal purposes. It can help relieve muscle pain, heal wounds and scrapes. The ingredients of this plant promote blood circulation from the surface of the skin. /Telegraph/
