"Hitler is alive": The old man from Argentina who claims to be the Nazi leader has been hiding until today (Photo)

A man from the Argentinian city of Salta has publicly admitted that he is in fact the Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, who spent 70 years in hiding.
During an interview given to the local media, the naturalized German immigrant says that he went to Argentina in 1945 with a forged Gestapo passport, on the eve of the end of the Second World War. Since then, he is called Herman Guntherberg, Telegrafi reports.
The man who claims to be Hitler has given up on the idea of hiding, since according to him there is no longer any reason because the Israeli secret service Mossad, since last year, has stopped its policy of pursuing Nazi war criminals.
"Many people are accusing me of crimes I never committed. For this reason I have been forced to spend more than half my life in hiding from the Jews, and this is perhaps the greatest punishment. I am portrayed as a bad man just because we lost the war. But when people start listening to my version, they immediately change their minds," Guntherberg stated.
Historians generally agree that Hitler committed suicide on April 30, 1945 in Berlin, as the Red Army was advancing on the German capital. However, some historians believe that the Führer was able to escape to Latin America, as many Nazis did.
Abel Basti had published a book in 2006 with the title "Hitler in exile", in which the theory that Hitler was able to escape to Argentina is described in detail. According to the author of the book, Hitler lived in that country for more than 10 years and then moved to Paraguay, protected by the dictator Alfred Stresner. The bet claims that Hitler died on February 3, 1971 in Paraguay.
Of course, very few people believe in Herman Guterberg's story, including his wife Angela Martinez. She believes that his shocking statements are the result or product of dementia. According to her, he had never mentioned Hitler or the Nazis before 2015, when the symptoms of Alzheimer's began to appear. Martinez suspects that her husband was a Nazi who feels guilty for what he had done in the past. /Telegraph/
