Historic for SpaceX, completes 300th space mission - launched 23 more Starlink satellites into orbit

Elon Musk's space mission company, SpaceX, has recently made history by completing the 300th mission of launching satellites into the orbit of our planet.

The Falcon 9 rocket with 23 Starlink satellites on board was successfully launched into space in the early hours of Monday European time; the launch was made from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, the Telegraph reports.

Everything went smoothly, which SpaceX celebrated in a post on X.

"Falcon 9 sent 23 Starlink satellites into orbit – completing the 300th successful launch," SpaceX wrote on X.

The first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket or as it is otherwise known as the "thruster" returned to Earth about eight minutes after liftoff, while the second stage of the rocket launched the satellites into the low orbit of our planet.

According to SpaceX, this is the 12th time the Falcon 9 rocket booster has been used for launch purposes. Reusable rocket boosters are a story in themselves as they are quite a difficult technology to come by. So far no space company has achieved this. Under normal conditions, these propellants explode in space, making them impossible to reuse.

Reusable thrusters save engineers millions of dollars.

This was not the only launch, as another set of Starlink satellites was launched into space on Sunday by the Falcon 9 rocket. Thus completing two missions in two days. /Telegraph/
