There is no stopping at 480 kilometers per hour
For the first time, Hennessey Performance has been presented at the Geneva Motor Show and the reason is clear: the Hennessey Venom F5 hypercar, Telegraph reports. This model was first introduced at SEMA in November and is now available to the public as it sits alongside rival Koenigsegg who holds the road speed record. During the same month, the Koenigsegg Agera RS had reached a speed of 445 kilometers per hour.
The maximum speed of 500 kilometers per hour has been confirmed by John Hennessey. "I was satisfied with the 300 miles per hour achieved by the Venom GT launched in 2014. The competition continues to grow and it was decided to increase the speed to 311 miles per hour, which is the equivalent of 500 kilometers per hour," said I the first of the Hennessey company.
The hypercar, which is expected to have 1,600 horsepower, is believed to be ready for production and to be presented at the Pebble Beach Car Show in August. “We want the Venom F5 to be like the decathletes, who do a range of things. It races, it's comfortable and it goes anywhere with agility. He will have all of them and at a very high speed," he added. Limited to only 24 units, 12 of them have already found buyers. Half of them will be sold in the United States, while the rest will be sold in other countries. But not everyone can buy these.
"It doesn't make someone come and say, here's my account and give me a car. We want to know about the buyer's background. Where does he live, what does he do, does he want to drive it or collect it. Not to buy it and sell it for a little more money", added Hennessey. The details and criteria that must be met to buy a Venom F5 have not been disclosed, but it is known that you have to pay a lot. /Telegraph/
