Nutritionist and dietitian Albulena Shabani Ilazi, in the podcast "Health First", spoke about the importance of consuming healthy foods, while showing what we should and should not eat when we want to lose weight.
Shabani Ilazi emphasizes that he really does not prefer to remove any element from the menu, except in cases where it is necessary due to an allergy.
"A meal should be balanced with macro and micronutrients. Macronutrients include carbohydrates, fats and proteins... First and foremost are proteins, healthy fats and complex carbohydrates (complex carbohydrates). These (complex carbohydrates) are found in fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Then we find vitamins and minerals in fruits and vegetables...", said the dietitian.
She further showed what should be removed from the daily menu in order.
"What needs to be eliminated are simple carbohydrates and bad fats... these are essential (to be eliminated)," she said.
