He's a boxing legend, but Mike Tyson will earn far less than Jake Paul

Mike Tyson and Jake Paul square off this week in what is expected to be one of boxing's biggest fights in recent years. The fight at AT&T Stadium will be streamed on Netflix, with the streaming service looking to enter the sports world with a bang.

While it is not expected to be that competitive, the pulling power of the two should result in all eyes on them.

Tyson last fought professionally in 2005. The Hall of Famer put the gloves aside to focus on acting and other business ventures. The 58-year-old returned to the ring in 2020 to face Roy Jones Jr. at an exhibition, the starting point that resulted in this collision.

Paul competes against a legend after years of battling former MMA and NBA stars and YouTubers.

Despite questions surrounding Tyson's health after suffering an ulcer flare-up, the fight is still on and is expected to be watched by a massive audience around the world. This could result in a substantial payday for both.

The winnings for the duel between Paul and Tyson is about 80 million dollars, which means that Paul can earn half of that amount.

"I'm here to win $40 million and beat a legend," Paul declared in a pregame press conference.

Tyson is expected to earn over $20 million for his fight against Paul.

"This fight is not going to change my life financially," Tyson told SPORTbible. “If I did it for free, it wouldn't change my life. "My wife keeps telling me, 'You don't need to fight this war.'"
