Google is replacing Google Assistant with Gemini

Google will replace Google Assistant on Android phones with Gemini later this year, the company has announced.

Otherwise, the move to remove Assistant in favor of Gemini isn't surprising, especially considering that Google launched its Pixel 9 line of phones with Gemini as the default virtual assistant.
