Google Chrome vs. Microsoft Edge: Which is faster?

Windows 10 comes with a completely new browser which Microsoft has named Edge. The same comes with a light design, is fast and also brings the digital assistant of the company Cortana.

Edge contains almost none of the details that we hated in Internet Explorer, but how does this new browser compare to Google Chrome, the most used browser in the world today?

Mashable pitted Edge against Chrome (version 44.0.2403.89m) on an HP Specter X360 laptop with a 2.2GHz Intel Core i5 and 8GB of RAM, and ran a series of benchmark tests to see if Microsoft's new browser is faster or slower. at least on par with Chrome.

Both browsers were tested as new, without extensions and cache. But it is important to note that Chrome comes with Adobe Flash pre-installed.

Mashable didn't disable it during tests, because a normal user wouldn't either.

From the tests done on many parameters set for comparison, it turns out that Google Chrome is faster than Microsoft Edge, but ... only if you don't have any extra browser extensions. When you add it, which usually every user adds extension, then Chrome slows down.

And with this it can be concluded that Microsoft Edge is a very fast browser and after testing, it is very much liked.

If Internet Explorer leaves a bad taste in each of us while browsing, then it must be said that Edge is a complete return to Internet browsing from Microsoft, the best possible way. (Telegraph)
