Tech giant Google has also bought a new batch of patents from IBM, bringing the total to 217.
This list includes 188 registered patents, as well as 29 more that IBM has on its patent list as of December 30, 2011.
The latest purchase of patents by Google is the next purchase after those that the company acquired in the months of July and August last year.
With these purchases, Google rounds the number of patents to 2100, 217 of which it received from IBM alone.
