"Girl holding her mother's womb", Shpend Haxhibeqiri tells one of the most shocking cases he has handled in his career

In the podcast "Health First", supported by United Hospital, Shpend Haxhibeqiri, a forensic psychiatry specialist, recounted one of the most difficult cases he has treated in his career.
The case occurred in Prizren, where a woman lost her life after her husband stabbed her 12 times — leaving behind a horrific scene.
According to him, what makes the situation even more painful is the involvement of the couple's daughter.
Haxhibeqiri said that when the girl intervened by holding her mother's belly, the father also stabbed the girl in the hand — right on top of the mother's belly.
He admitted that even though he felt disgusted by the actions, his professional duty required him to stay away from prejudice and conduct the expertise with complete objectivity.
"It happened in Prizren, where a woman died after being killed by her husband after 12 or 147 stab wounds... for me what was tragic was that the girl intervened at the crime scene. Holding her mother's belly, her father in this case also stabbed the girl in his hand on the mother's belly. It was extremely difficult for me to accept and talk to the party, regardless of the fact that he was a chronic alcoholic, because when the child intervenes or when a third person enters in case it was necessary to stop, all that amount of blood after 12 stab wounds, it was extremely difficult for me... I had the duty to talk to him, I was disgusted by the actions he took... regardless, we also carried out this expertise without any trouble...", said Haxhibeqiri.
