Two Colombian citizens have been arrested by the Durrës Police after they rented an apartment in the Shkëmbi i Kavajës area and used it for prostitution.
"Following the successive strikes carried out by the structures of the Durrës Police Department, the Trafficking Investigation Section together with the Special Operational Force, the 11th phase of the police operation codenamed "Storm" was finalized, followed by special investigation methods for a period of several weeks, for the criminal offenses of "Prostitution" and "Adaptation of premises for prostitution". Within the framework of this phase of the "Storm" operation, conducted in the area of Shkëmbi i Kavajës, Durrës, citizens L. S, 26 years old and M. P, 26 years old, both residents of Colombia, were arrested for the criminal offenses of "Prostitution" and "Adaptation of premises for prostitution", the Police announced.
The 22-year-old from Burreli, with the initials EM, was also prosecuted at large for the criminal offense of "Prostitution".
As material evidence, two passports of foreign citizens, sums of money in lek and foreign currency, 3 mobile phones, a notepad and several SIM cards were seized.
From the investigative actions carried out for the purposes of this proceeding, it resulted that these citizens had rented an apartment in the Shkëmbi i Kavajës area and had adapted it for the purpose of engaging in prostitution.
The procedural materials were transferred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës.
