Five drivers have been fined by police for serious violations of road traffic rules in the region. Ferizaj.

According to the Kosovo Police, patrols of the Road Traffic Unit carried out checks on March 7 at various points in the region, where several traffic violations were identified.


Based on the Law on Road Traffic 08/L-186 of Kosovo, Article 247, the police have imposed a fine of 500 euros on a transport company, after allowing the driver with the initials BD to circulate with a truck with a trailer with an expired registration since December 10, 2025.

Likewise, another transport company was fined 500 euros for allowing the AZ driver to drive a VW vehicle with local license plates, with a registration expired as of May 10, 2025.

Meanwhile, driver LL, 23 years old, who was driving a BMW 320 with local license plates, was stopped for overtaking in a blind spot and in full line. He was fined 200 euros, given two demerit points and the protective measure of revocation of his driver's license for three months.

The driver KK, 37, who was driving a VW Golf, was also punished for the same offense. He was also fined 200 euros, given two demerit points and had his driver's license revoked for three months.

Meanwhile, the driver SS, 59 years old, was stopped while driving a Setra bus while using a phone while driving. After verification, the police found that this was the second time the same offense had occurred, so he was punished with a 200 euro fine, two negative points and the revocation of his driver's license for three months.

Kosovo Police in the Ferizaj region have announced that they will continue regular and intensified controls to increase traffic safety, calling on citizens to respect traffic rules.

Police authorities have also announced that traffic violations can be reported to 192, regional police numbers or through the Report the Police application, guaranteeing confidential treatment of any information received.
