How to freeze dairy products without losing flavor

Even dairy products can be frozen, and mostly not change the texture and taste. Find out what the tricks are for properly freezing dairy products.

In this way, you will extend the shelf life of milk, cheese and other products, but some of them do not make sense to freeze, because after thawing they will not have the same taste.

Tricks that work:

milky

It reacts quite well to freezing. You can "package" it in plastic bottles and put it in the freezer.

Thaw it in the refrigerator (best if left overnight). If you have frozen unboiled raw milk, it is best to put it (already thawed) in a pan on the stove (on medium temperature) and bring it to a boil. (Be careful, milk is "tricky" - it can boil quickly).

Don't drink the milk until it's completely melted – the fat and the liquid don't melt at the same time, so if the milk were to melt, you'd only be left with a watery white mixture. Just let it melt slowly and stir before using. It will taste the same as when you bought it.

Cheeses

You can also freeze cheeses easily, just be careful with the melting. If you use hard cheese and want to use it in food where it needs to be melted, just put it frozen - in sauces and soups. You can also sprinkle it frozen on pizza or any other food and just leave it in the oven for a few minutes.

You should not thaw it in the refrigerator, especially hard cheeses, because then they start to fall apart. It is best if you thaw it at room temperature, then put it in the refrigerator for an hour or two before using it. It will be almost the same as when you bought it.

You can melt other cheeses in the refrigerator – like goat cheese, cream cheese... You can eat them without any special preparation when they are melted.

Cottage cheese reacts in a similar way to milk. You have to bear in mind that it sometimes stretches when it rises, so be careful what you put it in when you put it in the fridge – the best option is plastic containers. Let it thaw in the refrigerator.

Butter

There is nothing simpler. Just put it in the freezer, and then take it out to thaw in the refrigerator or just use a part (like thawed), and put the rest back in the refrigerator. (If the butter is on sale, buy it in larger quantities and freeze it).

lips

Freezing is not recommended for this dairy product. When you thaw it in the fridge you can eat it without any risk, but it will be disintegrated and completely different. It is best to skip freezing the cream and use it fresh. /Telegraph/
