The four causes of erectile problems

Erection problems or erectile dysfunction is something that happens to almost all men at some stage of their lives.

Although this problem affects some men earlier than others, there are actually several things that could be causing you this type of problem.

DEPRESSION

Sexual emotions start in the head and then go down. Depression can impair your desire for sex and this leads to erectile problems.

Ironically, most of the drugs used to treat depression can also suppress your sexual desire and make it difficult for you to get an erection.

alcohol

You might think that drinking a few glasses of alcohol will only get you in the mood for sex, but it's actually the opposite.

Excessive alcohol consumption inhibits erection, although the effects are usually temporary.

The good news is that moderate alcohol consumption – one to two drinks a day – can have good health effects, such as reducing the risks of heart disease.

MEDICINES

A list of different medications can cause erectile problems, including certain blood pressure medications, pain relievers, and antidepressants.

Do not stop using these medicines without consulting your doctor.
