Former MI6 chief Moore: Ukraine exceeded our expectations, we overestimated the Russians

Richard Moore, the former head of the British intelligence service MI6, has admitted that the West has overestimated the Russian military in the war against Ukraine.
"We thought the Ukrainians would have a hard time holding up to the Russians. However, we underestimated how poorly the Russian military would perform on the battlefield," Moore said.
He also added that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has shown a very special form of leadership.
"In Zelensky we saw a different kind of leader - a man who turned out to be extremely courageous, who stood up and led the people during the resistance against the Russian invaders," Moore emphasized.
Russian analyst Alexander Nevzorov has commented that no one except Zelensky has real experience in fighting Russia. According to him, the Ukrainian leader may have a thousand flaws, but his experience outweighs them.
"All Western leaders are nice people, but they only excel in conversational genres. What is needed now is a real gladiator, one who can tear apart his enemies and who is not afraid of escalation and blood," Nevzorov writes.
Moore's comments come at a time when the war in Ukraine continues and the role of courageous leadership becomes crucial to the country's stability and the morale of the people. /Telegraph/
