In two separate cases, the Kosovo Police seized fake coins of two euros in Graçanica and Fushë Kosovë, worth about 7 thousand euros.

The police inform that in the village of Preoc in Graçanica, two officials of a bank have reported that recently different customers have deposited metal coins which are suspected to be counterfeit, worth 6,590 euros.

"Preoc, Graqanica 27.12.2023-09:20. Two female Kosovar complainants-officials of the bank, have reported that recently, different customers have deposited metal coins which are suspected to be counterfeit, a total of 3295 x 2 euros worth 6,590 euros, which have been confiscated for further examinations . The prosecutor has been notified," the report states.


Also referring to the Police report in Fushë Kosovë, the official of a bank has reported that different customers from 11.12.2023 to 27.12.2023 have deposited 364 euros of different metal coins, most of them in the value of two euros.

"Te-Rethi, Fushë Kosovë. 11.12.2023. On 27.12.2023, the Kosovar female complainant, an official of the bank, reported that different customers from the mentioned date deposited 364 euros of different metal coins, most of them worth 2 euros, which are suspected to be counterfeit.
