Football experts explode in the "theft" that VAR did to Denmark against Germany
Pundits have criticized VAR after Denmark suffered a huge disappointment in their Euro 2024 defeat to Germany.
Fans also claimed Denmark had been 'robbed', with defender Joachim Andersen suffering a double VAR nightmare.
Andersen thought he had put Denmark ahead, but his goal was ruled out for offside, with referee Michael Oliver drawing plenty of criticism.
Soon after, there was further agony for Andersen as he conceded a penalty for an alleged handball.
Kai Havertz took the responsibility to execute the penalty and managed to find the net.
But, for this double situation against Denmark, former footballers, who are now match analysts, reacted.
Ian Wright said: “For me for them to see it as a sleight of hand, that will never sit well with me. I don't know why they're going into the science of this, it's legally driving you crazy."
Alan Shearer wrote: "The hand rule is a m*t".
