Kosovo Police have initiated cases for "Counterfeiting of Money" and "Unauthorized Possession of Narcotics" after an incident reported on February 6 at around 19:30 PM, in the village of Prelez i Jerlive, in Ferizaj.

According to the official announcement, a counterfeit 20 euro banknote was suspected of being used at a gas station. The police patrol identified three suspects: Sh. V. (27), a citizen of Kosovo, and two Palestinian citizens, NZ (30) and MO (28). During the search, the police seized the suspected banknote, a small amount of narcotics and two grinders.


By order of the state prosecutor, criminal proceedings were initiated, while the two foreign citizens were detained for 48 hours. The Kosovar suspect was released after being interviewed.

On February 7, 2026, during the continuation of the investigation, the police identified the suspects' rented apartment in Ferizaj, where identification documents from various countries were found and seized. It was also established that one of the suspects, MO, was the subject of an international arrest warrant.

During the investigation, a minor Kosovar girl, AT (17), who was accompanying the suspect, was also identified. During the search of her apartment in Kaçanik, 39 suspected counterfeit 50-dollar bills, a small amount of narcotics and foreign documents were found. According to the police, the narcotics belonged to ED (19).

All actions were carried out in coordination with the Border Investigation Unit and the Basic Prosecution Office in Ferizaj. The minor was interviewed in the presence of her parent and defense attorney, while she and ED were released in the regular procedure.
