The Central Election Commission has approved the timeline of activities for the early elections for the Assembly of Kosovo, which will take place on December 28, 2025.
The CEC has given parties a deadline of November 24 to November 30 to declare coalitions.
According to today's CEC decision, the electoral process will take place according to these main deadlines:
Decision on limiting campaign spending: until November 24, 2025.
Declaration of political parties for non-participation in the elections: November 24–30, 2025.
Declaration of participation through coalitions: November 24–30, 2025.
Application for certification of political entities: November 24–30, 2025.
Submission of candidate lists: November 24 – December 7, 2025.
Drawing of the lottery for the ranking on the ballot: December 8, 2025.
Appointment of Municipal Election Commissions: November 26, 2025.
Publication of the list of Voting Centers: November 25, 2025.
Approval and publication of Municipal Counting Centers: November 25, 2025.
Voting Center Change: November 26 – December 6, 2025.
Objections and confirmations for the voter list: November 26 – December 6, 2025.
Voter registration outside Kosovo: November 26 – December 6, 2025.
Certification of the voter list inside and outside the country: December 10, 2025.
Voting by mail: December 12–27, 2025.
Election campaign for certified entities: December 17 – December 28, 2025, 06:59.
Voter registration for special needs: December 11–21, 2025.
Appointment of Polling Station Councils in Kosovo and in diplomatic missions: until December 16, 2025.
Application for observer accreditation: December 5–20, 2025.
The CEC emphasized that all procedures will be followed according to the law and that electoral institutions have already begun preparations for organizing the December 28 process.
