Expert Tahirukaj explains why Varraga was chosen as the location for the explosion of the Ibër-Lepenci canal

A terrorist attack took place in the village of Varragë in the municipality of Zubin Potok - a municipality with a Serbian majority in the north of the country on Friday, November 29.

The expert on explosives, arson and gunpowder particles, Milazim Tahirukaj, has stated that the attack in Varraghe of Zubin-Potoku was "well prepared" and its main purpose was to hit the critical infrastructure of Kosovo and not damage caused to victims and people.

Tahirukaj stated in "Debat Plus" that the first suspicions are that this attack was carried out by some military because it used strategic points without causing damage to people, but that the main goal was the destruction of the infrastructure since the Ibër-Lepenci canal serves water supply for 700 inhabitants, but also the cooling of power plants A and B.

"The initial attack did not aim to cause harm to people. The place and point of attack is well thought out. The second, as a consequence of this cause, where this channel has critical infrastructure for Kosovo, where 700 thousand people are supplied with water but also the Thermal Power Plants and their cooling. If the water did not reach the power plants, the consequence was also the explosion of the power plant".

"A place recorded and processed correctly that was probably also by the military or even the prepared parties. These points, the place where the explosive was found, most likely belong to the high or military explosives that were used. The entire line has been scanned, and the starting point of this act was precisely not to cause consequences to people but to damage the critical infrastructure", Tahirukaj stated.
