Emi Martinez humiliated Brazil with his gesture, even Scaloni told him to stop

Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni was not too happy with Emiliano Martinez after the goalkeeper started juggling during their World Cup qualifier against Brazil.

Brazil suffered their heaviest defeat to Argentina since 1964 on Tuesday evening as the Albiceleste secured their qualification for the 2026 World Cup with a resounding 4-1 victory in Buenos Aires.

It was a night of humiliation for Dorival Junior's side, as goals from Julian Alvarez, Enzo Fernandez, Alexis Mac Allister and Giuliano Simeone gave the home team a three-goal lead with 71 minutes to play.

And with little time left, Emiliano Martinez made sure to make the defeat even more difficult for the Brazilians by rubbing salt in their wound with some typically courageous actions.

To the delight of those present at the Estadio Monumental, Martinez pulled off a number of jugglers as Argentina cruised to victory against the Selecao, who managed just one shot on target throughout.

Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni could be seen wagging his finger in his area, as if to say stop, but the damage had already been done.

It is worth noting that Argentina and Brazil have a great rivalry between them and it is not uncommon to see fights and provocations from both sides. /Telegraph/
