Police confirm: Three officers injured during Albanian opposition protest

Three police officers were injured during today's opposition protest in Albania.

The State Police also confirmed this through an official announcement, stating that one "officer suffered eye injuries, while two other employees were injured in the hand and face."

They are currently in hospital receiving medical attention, while work is underway to identify the perpetrators of the incident.


"The Police officers were immediately accompanied to receive the necessary assistance at the hospital and are under the specialized care of doctors. Meanwhile, the State Police services are collecting all evidence and video footage, to identify and bring to justice the perpetrators who harmed the Police officers, planned according to the plan of measures for the smooth conduct of the opposition rally. The Director of the Tirana Police Department, Director Elton Alushi, and the Deputy Director of Order have visited the injured officers at the hospital, ensuring that they receive all necessary assistance, in cooperation with the medical staff."r", says the Police.
