Double murder in Stanovc, Vushtrri, new details

A tragic event occurred this afternoon in the village of Stanovc in the Municipality of Vushtrri, where two people were left dead after being shot with firearms.

According to initial information, the owner of a bakery killed a female worker and then killed himself.

The police and the prosecution immediately went to the scene to investigate the full circumstances of the case.

The news for the Telegraph was confirmed by the spokesperson for the Basic Prosecution Office in Mitrovica, Valon Preteni, who said that the investigations are in the initial phase.

"We confirm that there are two victims of gunfire. According to initial information, a person has taken the life of a woman and then committed suicide. The prosecutor and the relevant police units are at the scene," Preteni declared.

Several shell casings suspected of being used in this crime were found at the scene.

"Witnesses are being interviewed and, in coordination with the police, all the circumstances that led to this serious incident are being investigated."

Footage from the scene shows a large number of police forces surrounding the area, while concerned residents have gathered around, shocked by what has happened.

An ambulance was seen at the scene, but unfortunately doctors only pronounced two people dead.

The Telegraph has seen photos of the murder, which show that the act took place inside the underpass that connects the village.

However, police have not yet provided official details on the motive for this tragedy.

This is the second murder to shock Vushtrri within 24 hours, after just the day before a 19-year-old was killed under other circumstances.
