Donation of 55 euros in medical equipment for the Neonatology Clinic at KKUK

In the Neonatology Clinic of the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (QKUK), the donation from the United Arab Emirates, in the amount of over 55 thousand euros, has been accepted.

As it is known in an announcement of SHSKUK, Izet Sadiku, Deputy Minister of Health, said that this donation is welcome for the Clinic of Neonatology, since it has a transport incubator, through which it will be possible to transport babies who need neonatal transport inside and outside Kosovo.

"The donation contains the EKG device, cardiopulmonary monitor, transport incubator, photolamps, radiant heaters, infusion pumps, scales and other equipment worth over 55 thousand euros", explained Deputy Minister Sadiku.

E Curr Gjocaj, general director of the University Hospital and Clinical Service of Kosovo (SHSKUK), speaking about the importance of this and other donations, announced that from January of this year until now, the SHSKUK has received donations worth over 6.5 million euros.

Dr. Mynevere Latifi-Hoxha, director of the Neonatology Clinic, said that over 11 newborn babies are treated in this clinic every year.

"We are trying to provide maximum care with the current equipment we have available, the needs are great, but we hope that with the construction of the new pediatric surgery facility, neonatal intensive care with 44 beds will be created with much better standards and conditions. goods and sophisticated equipment", said Latifi-Hoxha.

The announcement states that the equipment was received through the central pharmacy in the presence of professionals from the Clinic of Neonatology delegated by the clinic, while through the medical equipment sector and the wealth sector, their registration was made as assets of the KKUK. /Telegraph/
