Dogs comfort people when they are sad

Owning a dog really does require commitment. You have to get up early to walk him, feed him and you can't leave him alone for a long time - especially if he's still a puppy. However, to all of these are worth it for companionship and unconditional love
Some recent research has shown that the bond between dogs and humans is deeper than we previously thought.
For example, dogs may be trying to communicate with us when they make certain gestures such as rolling on the floor.
Another study suggests that they try to make facial expressions to look as cute as possible so that we do things for them.
But now, according to a new study published in the journal 'Learning & Behaviour', dogs try to comfort their owners when they are angry or sad.
According to this research, it is said that dogs are able to detect the owner's emotional stress and rush to do something to fix that problem.
"Dogs have been around humans for thousands of years and have learned to read them. Dog owners also show that they can tell when they know their dogs can smell their feelings. Our research only supports this idea and shows that when dogs know that their owner is in trouble, they do their best to help them," he writes in this study. /Telegraph/
