A 10-year-old girl who was the victim of a quadruple stabbing in Ferizaj is in a stable condition, while one of the other patients transferred to the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (QKUK) may need surgical intervention.
The news was confirmed by the director of the Emergency Clinic at KKUK, Naser Syla, for public television.
"The 10-year-old child is in a more serious condition. The necessary examinations were performed at the Emergency Center, and later he was admitted to the operating room. During the time of the intervention and almost before the end, the situation is stable and out of danger for life," declared Syla.
He also gave details about the other two victims lying in the KKUK. "For the other two cases, they were in a stable condition.
One was treated in an emergency and was transferred to the Clinic of Maxillofacial Surgery, while the other is under observation in the Emergency Center, where I can say that his condition is getting worse, where in all likelihood the need for an operating room will appear ,” he added.
The Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, expressed his gratitude to the KKUK staff for the quick intervention.
"Thanks to the quick response from the Emergency Clinic, I heard the good news that the condition of the 10-year-old girl is stable and out of danger. The condition of the other persons is mostly stable, except for the person who, despite being in rehabilitation here, may also need a surgical intervention," said Vitia.
The serious incident took place today around 15:40 in Ferizaj, where an adult person in still unclear circumstances attacked four passers-by with a knife, causing serious bodily injuries, Telegrafi reports.
