De La Fuente announces squad for matches against Denmark and Switzerland - no Real Madrid players, three new 'faces'

Spain have released their squad list for the final international break of 2024, where they will face Denmark and Switzerland in the Nations League.

Although their place in the next stage is secured, the La Roja national team still have to confirm the first place in the group.

Coach Luis de la Fuente has released his Spain squad, which includes some new faces.

Barcelona's Marc Casado, Athletic Bilbao's Aitor Paredes and Porto's Samu Omorodion have all received their first call-ups.

Alvaro Morata, despite suffering a head injury during Milan training this week, has also been included in the squad as captain.

Dani Carvajal is missing due to injury, thus sealing a Spain team without a Real Madrid player after a very long time.

The list does not lack the names of the stars of the team such as Aymeric Laporte, Fabian Ruiz, Pedri, Dani Olmo, Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams.  /Telegraph/
