Mercury Prize-winning rapper Dave returns with his sophomore project, which is more confessional, angry and reflective than his 2019 debut album Psychodrama.
He has released his second career album, entitled "We're All Alone In This Together", writes The Focus.
The rapper's new twelve-track album features collaborations with household names like James Blake and WizKid, Stormzy, Ghetts, Giggs and Fredo - and rising stars like Meekz Manny.
Like his debut album, We're All Alone In This Together deals with some of the problems and struggles Dave has faced in real life. Even more than the first album, his second project delves into Dave's romantic life.
There are a number of songs on "We're All Alone In This Together" that touch on Dave's past relationships. Notably, the ninth song, "Both Sides of A Smile," shows how Dave and ShaSimone, lovers, discuss his infidelity.
But fans are convinced that some of the lines are being dedicated to his Albanian ex-girlfriend named Besmira.
In the song entitled "Survivor's Guilt" - the last song on the album, rapper Dave talks openly about his ex-girlfriend, who he also mentions in the sixth song of the album, "How I Met My Ex".
In this song, Dave reveals that his ex-girlfriend was white and from Albania. He quotes at one point: "I fell in love with an Albanian, I know it's crazy/We're not together, because her family would turn us away."
In 2020, fans of rapper Dave were convinced that his ex-girlfriend was a woman named "Besmira." This came after Dave posted several images on InstaStory wishing her a happy birthday, accompanied by love hearts. Dave never confirmed whether he was dating Besmira, although the song titled "Survivor's Guilt s" seems to confirm what is being said online.
But who really is "Besmira"?
Until now, Besmira's identity remains quite unclear. We know details about her and Dave's alleged relationship thanks to his latest project.
After Dave shared pictures of what is claimed to be the real Besmira on Instagram last year, he later went silent. This after thousands of curious eyes were directed towards his alleged relationship.
