Cooperation, as a way to promote peace: Muslim believers say that discussion is the only way to remove prejudice

Muslim believers are collaborators and contributors to the construction of Kosovar society, despite the fact that someone tries to create animosity and peaceful clashes. This was found today at the conference organized by the social networking forum "Jhemati i Prishtina", in collaboration with the KIMES institute. the QESH institute and the Club for the Affirmation of Thought, with the title: "Cooperation, as the only way to promote peace".

In this meeting, the panelists emphasized the need for a new social agreement, in which each party, in this case the Muslim believers, would participate by expressing their demands and needs, as the best way to remove misunderstandings and problems. that are appearing in Kosovar society.

Amir Ahmeti, from the institute "KIMES", said that some of the problems that are being presented in the general social discourse, is when adequate and professional people are overlooked from the discussions, in this case when we talk about religion, many "experts" are presented to us.

According to him, this approach is harming the presentation of a clear reality about the real situation in the country, and removing the creation of stereotypes that are harming normal communication between the parties.

He also spoke about the need for closer cooperation between state institutions and religious ones, and the strong cooperation that should exist between them.

"Cooperation is a very important element with state institutions and religious communities. I consider that here we have limped and I do not consider that genuine cooperation can be called when the heads of the institutions visit the religious communities for Eid or Easter and that ends the relationship between the institutions and the state. I think that this approach is wrong and the relations should be more advanced institutional mirages with the religious communities", Ahmeti asserted.

Arian Xhezairi from the institute "QESH", has said that Muslim believers should present good and successful models in society, in order to be competitive in the overall social competition, with special emphasis on strengthening the role of women.

He has spoken about the need for real knowledge of Muslim believers, by themselves, as the best way to recognize problems.

He said that the Muslim community continues to be victimized.

"The Muslim community here despite all the persecutions, despite all the lynchings, the derogatory language that is used in the media in the people still continues to be victimized and to position itself as a victim by offering the opposite of what we are peaceful and we have only spread peace", Xhezairi emphasized.

Lawyer Asdren Bytyqi, at the same time a representative of the Club for the Affirmation of Thought, has been more involved in legal issues, and the misunderstandings that the political elite has about liberal values.

He said that one of the foundations of the state, which is built on these values, is equality before the law and respect for conscience and freedom of belief.

According to him, the state should not interfere with religious communities, but rather play the role of the police between different ideological and religious groups - remain neutral.
