Congratulations on Kosovo's independence and calling Thaçi "the founding father", Grenell is offended by Serbs on the social network "X"

Former US envoy Richard Grenell faced a wave of negative reactions on the social network "X" after congratulating Kosovo on its 17th anniversary of independence.

In his message, he expressed concern about what he called a "great injustice" against former President Hashim Thaçi, who continues to remain in detention in The Hague.

Grenell described Thaçi as the “Founding Father of Kosovo statehood” and added that he “should be in Pristina celebrating, not behind bars.”

However, this stance aroused anger among a large part of his Serbian followers.

They reacted with a series of harsh comments, including offensive language and serious insults towards him and the US administration.

Some of the messages used expressions such as "Kosovo is Serbia" and other comments with derogatory content.

"Go to hell with the entire American administration", "Go away, you bastard", "Kosovo is Serbia"...
