Cole Palmer learns Panenka's origins: Fans react with mocking comments to Englishman

Cole Palmer scored a "Panenka" penalty against Tottenham and was praised by fans for his great composure.
After the game he had a fun chat about (Antonin) Panenka's origins and obviously some fans took that as an opportunity to poke fun at the Englishman.
One fan commented: "Please tell me he at least knows John Hattrick."
"He doesn't, but I'm pretty sure he knows Bobby Cleansheet," another fan reacted.
The third commented: "At this rate he'll retire before he learns about Offsidzinho."
"This man is incapable of thinking much," was an insulting comment from a fan.
While another added: "I'm sorry people are laughing at this for no reason. He doesn't know a footballer from the 80s, as he's a guy born in the 2000s. Most people my age who are big football fans won't know who Panenka is."
Despite all the ridicule surrounding Palmer's interview, he remains a player who is surprising everyone. It's always fun for the fans to watch him play, he doesn't care about the cameras and behaves like he would with his friends.
He is a genius on the football pitch and that is all Chelsea fans want from him. /Telegrafi/
