"Chaos" on the streets of Portland after the election, dozens of demonstrators are arrested - the National Guard intervenes

The authorities in Portland have declared the post-election demonstrations as riots, where the National Guard intervened to control the situation.

Through the streets of the largest city in the American state of Oregon, a series of incidents were recorded, shop windows were broken and garbage containers were burned, and the police arrested at least 11 people, Telegraph reports.

Two groups of demonstrators had started from different parts of the city moving towards the center. One group blocked traffic, while others paraded through the center.

They were throwing Molotov cocktails and glass bottles, and it has been confirmed that one person had a rifle with him. The police have published photos of the tools they confiscated from the demonstrators, including hammers and colored sprays.

The police have also called on citizens to vacate the area where the incidents occurred, warning that "those caught will be arrested and if necessary, force will be used." /Telegraph/
