A few years ago, an employee of the Treasury of Kosovo was suspected of transferring over 2 million euros of the budget to the account of a private company, LDA Group Shpk, through four different transactions.
In the indictment it was stated that on October 9, 2020, Kadri Shala, as a responsible person of the company "LDA GROUP SHPK" has enabled Labinot Gruda, an official in the Ministry of Finance, that the money from the State Treasury in the amount of 2 million and 77 thousand of 995 euros and 90 cents to be transferred to the same company illegally.
The Court of Appeal has confirmed the judgment of the Basic Court in Pristina, against the accused Labinot Gruda and Kadri Shala for the theft of 2.1 euros from the State Treasury.
The same in December 2022 were sentenced to 21 years in prison and a fine of 41 euros.
Related to this, the Deputy Minister of Justice wrote today, Blerim Sallah has returned today to the case of 2.1 million euros.
In a post on Facebook, Sallahu writes that of the 2.1 million euros stolen, about 500 are in a bank in Turkey and in this regard they are working closely with the authorities in Turkey to return them to the state treasury as soon as possible.
"We will not only adjust the handbooks in education started by Arsim Bajrami PDK, signed by Hykmete Bajrami LDK, but we will also return about 500 thousand euros from the 2.1 million that were evaporated from the ministry when it was led by Hykmete Bajrami .
Of the 2.1 million euros stolen, about 500 are in a bank in Turkey and in this regard we are working closely with the authorities in Turkey to return them to the state treasury as soon as possible.
