Bebe Rexha joins forces with Dove to help women express themselves without filters

In a world where social media often influences how we perceive beauty, Dove has collaborated with renowned singer and songwriter Bebe Rexha to launch the global campaign. #ShareTheFirst.

This movement aims to break the cycle of perfection and encourage women to embrace authenticity by sharing the "first real photo," the one before any filters or retouching.

New research from Dove shows the immense pressure women feel to capture the “perfect” photo before posting it on social media. In the US, eight out of 10 women admit to taking up to 50 photos before finding the one that meets their expectations.

Also, almost half of women report spending more than 10 minutes thinking about whether to post, share, or delete a photo. This constant cycle of re-editing and editing photos can overshadow the joy of capturing genuine, spontaneous moments.

@beberexha #dovepartner I'm partnering with @Dove to remind women to #sharethefirst photo and free themselves from the pressure of a perfect social media feed. 6 in 10 women won't post special moments because they think they don't look perfect. I've shared a real, first pic #and it felt good – I hope it inspires you to do the same!  #sharethefirst #Where #letschangebeauty #realbeauty ♬ original sound – Bebe Rexha

As someone who understands the pressure of life in the spotlight, Bebe Rexha has embraced the power of authenticity. "The best moments in life aren't staged or filtered, they just happen. But when you're in the public eye, there's so much pressure to look perfect every time," says Bebe Rexha.

"That's why I'm so excited to partner with Dove to celebrate true beauty, to be free from filters, to be yourself from the beginning, and to simply live in the moment," said the "I'm Good (Blue)" hitmaker.

campaign #ShareTheFirst It's not just about one star's journey, but about a collective effort that unites women from all over the world. In addition to Bebe Rexha, other influential figures, body confidence advocates, and creators like Francesca Scorsese, Nyma Tang, Tess Holiday, and Lauren Chamberse are showing support for the campaign.

With this initiative, Dove aims to inspire women to stop thinking about looking "perfect" on social media and, instead, share moments that celebrate who they really are. /Telegraph/
