Barcelona must find a solution as soon as possible if they are to secure the signing of Everton midfielder Amadou Onana.

The Senegalese is likely to be inundated with offers this summer, making it difficult for Barcelona to win the race for his transfer due to the team's financial situation.

Sporting director Deco seems to like the 22-year-old to complete the number of midfielders in the team, but are unable to offer more than 40 million euros for his card.

Catalan newspaper Sports, has reported that Everton have informed the leaders of the Blaugrana club that they are not ready to sell the player for 40 million euros plus bonuses, and have asked Barcelona for 60 million euros.

Everything becomes more complicated for Barca when it is known that Arsenal and Manchester United are competing for Onana's services, clubs that may be able to meet Everton's request.

The report adds that Barcelona could consider including the card of any player in the deal to reduce the price.

Barcelona already has a list of players that the club no longer counts on their services, including a number of players who are on loan to other clubs.

Names such as Eric Garcia, Ansu Fati, Julian Araujo, Clement Lenglet and Pablo Torre will be considered as options to be included in Barcelona's next bid for Onanan./Telegraph/
