Barcelona wants a midfielder at all costs in the summer, they have a four-star shortlist ready

Barcelona will be looking for a defensive midfielder this summer in order to address the hole left by Sergio Busquets, which is still being felt at Camp Nou.
Danish centre-back Andreas Christensen has covered that role in recent weeks to stem the flow of opponents' chances, but it looks very much like a temporary solution.
It will be up to sporting director Deco to find an affordable but quality option for the position and there are said to be four names on the list.
As previously reported, Everton's Amadou Onana is the preferred choice for the Blaugrana, while according to the newspaper Sports, Feyenoord's Mats Wieffer, Girona's Aleix Garcia and Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich, who is open to leaving the Bundesliga this summer, are other alternatives being considered.
Despite this report, according to journalist Matteo Moretto, the Blaugrana are currently not focused on Wieffer, who appears to be closer to a move to Atletico Madrid.
Their preferred profile is someone more like Onana. Garcia appears to be perhaps the most affordable option, but also the least accepted, having only started playing the position this year, and as part of a two-man midfield.
Kimmich, like Onana, appears to be financially complicated operations for Barcelona. /Telegraph/
