Saudi Arabia introduced the first AI robot, which can talk and dance

Saudi Arabia has officially unveiled the first robot that can speak different Arabic dialects, dance and answer questions.

The robot was presented at a conference held in Riyadh and is an interactive machine that features a built-in camera.

This camera uses artificial intelligence (AI) to detect people in front of the robot and can then start a conversation when a visitor addresses it with the greeting “Hello Sara”.

The robot Sara has the ability to recognize dialects, analyze sentences and understand their content. This allows the bot to provide relevant responses, which it can also send in text form.

In October 2017, Saudi Arabia became the first country in the world to grant citizenship to a robot. It was the Sophia robot made by Hong Kong-based Hanson Robotics. Sophia made her debut in Riyadh.

Human rights activists argued that it was absurd for a man-made machine to have a higher social status than the entire female population.

In September 2022, Saudi Arabia introduced three new robots that teach the Quran, call to prayer and deliver sermons. /Telegraph/
