The EU approved the closure of three chapters for Montenegro, Croatia blocked another one?
The European Union approved the closing of three chapters in the negotiations for the membership of Montenegro.
With this, this country took another big step towards membership in this organization.
The Committee of Permanent Representatives of the EU Member States (COREPER II) at the meeting approved the closure of chapters 7 (Intellectual Property Law), 10 (Information Society and Media) and 20 (Entrepreneurship and Industrial Policy).
According to the information provided by the portal news.me, Montenegro had to close chapter 31 (foreign, security and defense policy), but the delegation of Croatia was against it.
The citizens of Albania also received good news, as they closed two chapters in the sixth group, i.e. chapters 30 (political relations with abroad) and 31.
The EU also announced that these two countries will hold intergovernmental conferences in December, ie December 16 is set for Montenegro, while December 17 for Albania.
Otherwise, Montenegro closed three more chapters temporarily, while Albania closed the first two chapters, after the negotiations started on October 15 of this year. /Telegraph/
