Analysts: The draft of the Association does not go to the Constitutional Court before the elections

The call of the international factor, the European Union and America for Kosovo to send the draft statute of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority for review in the Constitutional Court, has caused the Government to position itself in front of different positions on this request, which for Kosovo is considered an obligation international law.
Recently, when this topic was updated, analysts do not expect any steps to be taken towards the review of the draft by the highest authority for the interpretation of the country's Constitution, for fear, as they say, of the election result of February 9.
"I think it is a little credible, due to the fact that it is the most inappropriate time for their practical implementation, in any case, we are 6 days before the elections in America, and very little time before the national elections in Kosovo, and I want to believe that this topic will not take place, at least not in practical terms, because normally the authority that would take concrete measures for its establishment, has no doubt that it would be penalized in the elections," said Afrim Hoti, professor of international relations.
"The international factor is surprised by our approach, between what is said yes and what is said we are unable to draft the statute, so all the ways of explaining the Kosovo government and the governing bodies, the association is part of the Franco-German plan, to which the government has said yes, and for this the international factor is holding the country's government to account," said Albinot Maloku, political scientist.
During the week, the Speaker of the Assembly, Glauk Konjufca, said that Kosovo's powers have been robbed by the European Union, as he declared for the draft EU statute for the Association of Municipalities with a Serbian majority, while the head of the government, Albin Kurti, said that as prime minister of a democratic republic he cannot form an association of municipalities.
And the lack of steps towards the establishment of the Association was part of this year's progress report that the EU recently submitted to Kosovo. /RTK/
