The idea of returning to compulsory military service is very good to think about, but at this moment we are not considering it as the Government, says Minister of Defense Vlado Misajllovski, emphasizing that all security challenges must be taken into account and a special analysis made by the General Staff and then to think about such a question, Telegraph Macedonia reports.

Asked if they could consider returning to compulsory military service, following the example of some neighboring countries, Misajlovski said that if asked personally, "every young person should spend part of their life this way," but that they should also look at the real conditions.

"You know that many barracks have previously been given to municipalities and a part of the property has also been given. But on the other hand, all security challenges must be taken into account, a special analysis must be made by all security structures, especially by the Security Service, and then this issue must be thought about.

Therefore, before entering into such an idea, we should see all the opportunities and challenges that we would face and then discuss such a thing.

"But personally, if you ask me, of course it's good for every young person and for every person, because that's how you identify yourself as a more stable person. It's very good to think about, but at this moment we're not considering it as a government," Misajlovski said./Telegraph/
