Today, Action for Mothers and Children together with the organizers of Cycle Kosovo for Children delivered 15 beds for babies to the neonatology ward in Mitrovica, as a result of the great lack of beds for newborns.

The beds were provided by funds raised by the local Cycle Kosovo for Children tour which is an annual charity event by local cyclists to raise funds for the humanitarian foundation Action for Mothers and Children. This year Cycle Kosovo for Children ended successfully for the sixth year in a row where about 30 cyclists participated in the 4-day journey and secured about 10,000 Euros through contributions from companies and individuals, and through online campaigns.

"One of our goals as AMC is to reduce infant mortality, so we are very happy that this donation of these beds for newborns in Mitrovica Hospital will affect the improvement of hospital services, thus fulfilling the mission of our organization . I am very grateful to the cyclists from Cycle Kosovo for Children for their initiative and support to our organization for six years in a row. Similar support with medical equipment will continue even further for Mitrovica Hospital, but also for other hospitals where the needs are identified," stated Vlorian Molliqaj from Action for Mothers and Children, it is stated in the media release.

"We are pleased to be present today and see how much our movement is helping, which we have been organizing for six years now. We are grateful to our friends and donors who always help us fulfill our mission and support the good work of Action for Mothers and Children," said Albion Hadri from Cycle Kosovo for Children. /Telegraph/
