The acting government of the Republic of Kosovo held its regular meeting today, in which a series of decisions were adopted that affect various fields - from the environment and infrastructure, to security, sports, education and economic development.

The meeting approved the Administrative Instruction on the method of appointing conformity assessment bodies, which regulates the application procedures and the criteria that must be met for granting or withdrawing appointments.


The Administrative Instruction on the Methodology for Monitoring and Reporting Greenhouse Gas Emissions has also been approved, aiming to establish a national mechanism for monitoring emissions and aligning with EU climate and environmental legislation.

Numerous expropriation decisions

The government has approved a number of preliminary decisions for expropriation in the public interest, for infrastructure and development projects, including:

Expansion of coal mining for KEK's needs.

Projects in the municipalities of Shtërpcë, Ferizaj, Suhareka and Prizren.

Construction of the Korishe–Kabash and Mushtisht–Shtërpcë roads.

Gjakova Municipality projects, including the industrial zone and the construction of the ammunition factory.

Expanding the capacities of the Air Navigation Services Agency.

Investments in sports, education and security

The government has allocated:

23,472 euros for FCF Prishtina 01 – Futsall, for organizing UEFA Champions League matches.

25,925 euros for representing Kosovo at the NEO Science Olympiad in the USA, where 15 students are participating.

850,000 euros to cover the lack of funds for salaries at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

250,000 euros as a reward for the Kosovo National Football Team for reaching the Play Off stage of the 2026 World Cup qualifications. The government has pledged additional rewards of 500 thousand euros in case of victory over Slovakia and 1 million euros in case of qualification for the World Cup.

Continuation of delayed projects and participation in Davos

The Government has approved the initiative for Amendment No. 5 of the Financial Agreement with the EU for IPA 2014, extending the project deadline for two additional years, due to delays in implementation – including the construction of the Gjakova Municipality facility.

300 thousand euros have been allocated for Kosovo's participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos, within the framework of the "House of Kosovo", with the aim of promoting the country and attracting investments.

Support for public institutions and media

The Ministry of Finance has requested and received approval for:

875 thousand euros to cover the obligations of the MFA, including diplomatic missions.

4.48 million euros for RTK as a temporary solution, due to the dysfunction of the Assembly, which has not approved the public broadcaster's financial report.

The government announced that these decisions aim to strengthen institutional functioning, economic and infrastructural development, as well as the international promotion of Kosovo.
