AGK: Abdixhiku's unacceptable and dangerous language against the media and journalists

The Association of Kosovo Journalists (AGK) has strongly condemned the repeated accusatory language of the leader of the LDK, Lumir Abdixhiku, against the media and journalists in Kosovo.
In a television interview last night, Abdixhiku spoke again about "media mercenaries", saying that "they very easily spread slander, irresponsibility, just because their bank account grows there from sponsors and various opponents."
"These claims by Mr. Abdixhiku are a frontal attack against the media, freedom of the media and expression in Kosovo.
Such language with qualifications such as "mercenaries" is irresponsible, unacceptable, very dangerous and may even pose a problem in terms of violating the physical safety of journalists.
"It is particularly regrettable that these statements by Mr. Abdixhiku come at a time when he is in opposition, and with support of 13%," the reaction states.
AGK invites Abdixhiku to abandon these speculations and, if there are facts, to denounce them to the responsible bodies. AGK also invites Abdixhiku, together with the other 14 MPs of his party in the Assembly, LDK, to contribute to a free media environment. /Telegrafi/
