The Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AGK) has reacted after the discovery of a tracking device hidden in the car of the Kosovar journalist, Vehbi Kajtazi.

AGK has made an immediate call for the security authorities to undertake a full and transparent investigation, to clarify the circumstances that have led to the deployment of the tracking device.


"The Association of Journalists of Kosovo expresses concern about the case of finding a tracking device in the car of the Kosovar journalist, Vehbi Kajtazi.

Considering it as an unprecedented case, AGK calls for the security authorities to investigate the case in detail and clarify the circumstances of this event as soon as possible.

AGK will closely follow the developments related to the case in question, until it is fully clarified by the security authorities of the Republic of Kosovo", says the reaction of AGK.

After a "suspicious device" was discovered in his car, journalist Vehbi Kajtazi reacted by saying that he does not feel safe.

The suspicious device that was discovered in Kajtazi's car, according to the Police, is suspected to be a GPS (Global Positioning System), a location indicating device.

Kajtazi asked to prove who the suspicious device belongs to and who placed it in his car. /Telegraph/
