Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić's statement that Albanians "are people who came out of the mountains", in the presence of the head of the EU delegation to Serbia, Sem Fabrizio, sparked numerous reactions.
Immediately after this statement, the head of Kosovo's diplomacy, Behgjet Pacolli, the deputy of LDK, Vjosa Osmani, the former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Petrit Selimi and many other personalities reacted, Telegrafi reports.
And, in connection with this statement by Brnabić, a campaign has also been launched against her on Twitter with the hashtags "People from the mountain" and "Words for words revealed from the mountain." (peoplefromthewoods and literallyjustemergedfromthewoods).
This campaign, in addition to many citizens, has also been joined by many well-known public figures such as: Minister of MFA, Behgjet Pacolli, MP Mimoza Kusari-Lila, Minister of Economic Development, Vladrin Lluka, former Deputy Minister of MFA, Petrit Selimi, journalist Gjeraqina Tuhina, journalist Adriatik Kelmendi and many other people from different fields.
In their Twitter posts, in addition to the hashtag, they also wrote descriptions such as: "Walking in the woods is healthy", "Our forests speak Brnabić", "When hunting doesn't go as planned", etc.
Also, in their Twitter posts, most have used photos of Albanians around the world such as: Dua Lipa, Rita Ora, Bebe Rexha, Era Istrefi, Ramë Lahaj, Xherdan Shaqiri, Granit Xhaka, Majlinda Kelmendi, Uta Ibrahimi and many other Albanians, writing that "they are also from the mountains".
