Adele rejects nearly €180 million offer to extend tour as she wants to spend time with her family

Adele ended her concerts in Munich last week by telling fans: "I won't see you for a very long time."

The British star added: "I just need a break. I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it now."

And it can be found that the superstar singer is true to her word, even more so. According to Dailymail, she turned down a $200 million (€179 million) offer — the biggest of her career — to extend her tour.

The most lucrative part of the deal was a nine-figure sum for a long tour of a casino in Macau, China. It would have been similar to her "Weekends With Adele" performances at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

They began in November 2022 and will end on November 23 this year, by which time the singer will have performed 100 concerts — earning £500,000 (€449) per show.

Adele, whose hits include 'Rolling In The Deep' and 'Hello', has also been offered a tour of Europe and South America.

A source said: “There have been many offers but she has turned them all down because she wants to be at home with her baby. The Chinese deal put millions of dollars on the table, but in the end it didn't want to do it. She has put her child and her lover — and herself — first."

For most of the past year, the 36-year-old superstar, who is believed to be worth £165m (€195m), has been jetting from her new home in Beverly Hills to Vegas by private jet, returned to spend the week with sports agent Rich Paul — now her fiancé — and her son Angelo, who turns 12 next month.

The ten Munich concerts she just completed were very lucrative, with Adele earning five million pounds (5.9 million euros) per performance (and that's not including her percentage of merchandise sold).

In a radio interview in July, she revealed that she wanted to focus on family and "other creative things" after her tour ends.

"I don't have any plans for new music at all," she said. "I want a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things, just for a little while."

It is understood she is planning to move to the UK, where she has a luxury flat in central London, later this year as she would prefer to raise Angelo in London. /Telegraph/
