About 150,000 Ukrainians use the Internet satellite network, Starlink - every day

About 150,000 Ukrainians use the Starlink Internet satellite network every day, according to data from Ukraine.

The number of daily active users is based on "rough data" shared by Ukrainian Minister Mykhailo Fedorov on Twitter, Telegrafi reports.

Fedorov asked for help from the director of SpaceX, Elon Musk, immediately after Russia began aggression on Ukraine to enable the use of satellite Internet in this country, and the American businessman and billionaire responded positively after ten hours.

Internet service has been activated in the region even though SpaceX has not yet started its commercial operations in the area.

And since Internet cables were the target of Russian attacks, the solution for Ukraine was Starlink terminals, and help began to arrive from all sides.

So far, the terminals have helped not only keep Ukrainians online, but have enabled patients in hospitals to have continuous care.

NBC reports that more than 10,000 Starlink terminals are currently active in Ukraine, of which 1,333 have been provided by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), while various stakeholders have provided 5,000 terminals. /Telegraph/
