A person from Kîçova was arrested, but he was an immigrant smuggler
The Ministry of Internal Affairs announces that a person has been detained from Kicevo because he was caught transporting immigrants.
"On 01.12.2024 at 16:20 on the Gjevgjeli - Demir Kapi highway, near the Demir Kapi tunnels, the police officers of the Mihailovë border surveillance police station stopped AS (28) from Kîçova.
During the check, three immigrants were found in the "Volvo" vehicle he was driving and it was established that the license plates belonged to a "Mercedes" vehicle.
The immigrants were transported to the Reception and Transit Center in Gazi Babë in Skopje, while the vehicle was placed in the area of the Southern Regional Center for Border Issues for further processing.
