Zvonko Veselinović linked to chaos on public transport during protests in Belgrade

Last Saturday, March 15, public transportation in Belgrade came to a complete halt, marking an unprecedented precedent in the city's history.

One of the figures linked to this chaos is controversial businessman Zvonko Veselinović, who is on the US blacklist for criminal activities and connections to powerful political and economic circles in Serbia, writes N1.

The large protest that took place that day paralyzed the Serbian capital, as even private transport companies refused to operate.

According to Forbes Serbia, one of the leading transport companies in Belgrade, Strela, is closely linked to Predrag Lovric, a businessman who has direct ties to Veselinovic.

Lovrić is a co-owner of the company Meteor 017, where 50% of the shares are owned by Vladan Milanović, director of Betonjerka Aleksinac, which is owned by Inkop, a company controlled by the Veselinović brothers, KosovaPress reports.

Also, the connections between Lovric and Veselinovic are also evident through the metallurgical company Metalotehna MP AD.

This influence of Veselinović's network on public transport casts serious doubts on the reasons for the total halt to urban traffic during the protests, raising questions about the involvement of circles close to the government in this drastic decision. /KP/
